Terms of Service

Draft prepared September 25, 2026. Proposed effective date: [ADD AFTER REVIEW]. Kigazine is operated by Ethan Lu ("Kigazine," "we," or "us"). These proposed terms cover kigazine.com and appletimes.kigazine.com.

Using Kigazine

Kigazine lets people read approved magazines and create a magazine series with issues, covers, comments and other community features. Apple Times is an editor-led magazine series with separate approval for its writers. Reading starts after an account is created; naming a series is required before submitting a Kigazine issue. Every issue and comment must be reviewed before it appears publicly.

Ask a parent or guardian before creating an account or sharing anything. Children’s access requires additional legal and safety review: the current signup checkbox records a statement of permission but does not verify parental consent. The operator must decide and implement an appropriate age and parental-consent process before offering accounts to children where required.

Your account and series

Use a nickname and a series name that do not reveal your full name, school, home address, phone number, email or exact location. Keep your login credentials private. Tell a trusted adult if someone else is using your account. Each account can name one Kigazine series; each approved issue appears under that series. A saved series name is not currently changeable by its owner in the app; request help from an administrator if correction is needed.

Your writing and cover art

You keep any rights you have in writing and images you submit. By submitting them, you give Kigazine permission to store and review them and, if approved, display them as part of your magazine series and Apple Times contributions where applicable. This permission is limited to operating and promoting the Kigazine service; it does not transfer ownership to Kigazine. Only share work you made or have permission to use. Never upload identifying images of yourself or others, private information, dangerous instructions, hateful material, or content that is not appropriate for children.

Review, reporting and removal

Submission does not guarantee publication. Editors may refuse, edit where tools allow, remove or suspend content or accounts to protect readers or enforce these terms. Reports help editors investigate concerns, but the service cannot guarantee every unsafe detail will be detected. Ask a trusted adult for help if you see something upsetting. To request account-data review or deletion, use the privacy contact listed in the Privacy Policy once the operator supplies it.

Other features

Community features may include comments, friend lists, profile pictures and messaging. Do not use these to share personal details or arrange contact outside the service. Kigazine AI and Apple Times AI-assisted drafts may make mistakes or include inaccurate material; a human editor must check contributions before publication. Do not depend on AI for medical, legal or emergency advice.

Changes and availability

Features may change or temporarily be unavailable. Kigazine will post changes to these terms on this page, including a revised effective date. Material changes affecting children or data handling should be communicated to affected families as required before they take effect. Applicable law may give you rights that these terms cannot take away.
